This glorious blouse is inspired by the popular peasant styles favoured in the late 1930s through to the early 50s. Embroidery design is based and adapted from an original hungarian period piece from the 1930s.
This is a transitional season blouse - designed to be worn with our natural or high waisted separates and perfect under a cardigan or jacket. Smocking on the neckline is finished with ties which can be worn open or closed to create keyhole. Stretch smocking on sleeves and hem create the flattering blouson look.
Adorned on the bodice front and on the shoulder with beautiful floral embroidery of red, blue & gold on an ivory base - this makes the blouse really versatile and can be paired beautifully with so many coloured separates. Note the blue top stitch on the sleeves and hem.
No fastenings - just pull over the head
